Touch, by Ivo Drury

Touch
by Ivo Drury

The stars are heavenly at six a.m.
you sleep
I head out to the pool
I swim through dream currents
touch and turn
at each touch saying your name lightly
leaving you dreaming
I flow gently end-to-end
touch, turn and say again
the stars are heavenly at six a.m.

Ivo Drury was born and educated in Dublin on the East Coast of Ireland and now lives, loves and writes on the Central Coast of California.
